Future. The 33-year-old rapper, singer, and producer is known for his clever use of autotune and has drawn comparisons to trap music. His latest album, HNDRXX, was named one of the best albums (so far) of 2017 by Vulture.
Rick Ross. The prolific rapper has nine albums out, including one out this year and yet another coming out next year. He’s had four Grammy nominations, including one this year for “Best Song Written For Visual Media” for “Purple Lamborghini.”
Chris Brown. Virginia born rapper Brown is well-known for several reasons, including the use of his song “Forever” on every viral wedding video. He’s acted in movies such as Think Like a Man and Battle of the Year. His new album “Heartbreak on a Full Moon,” will be out in July.
Travis Scott. The 25-year-old rapper from a Houston suburb has been working since he was 16 as a record producer. First, with his friend Chris Holloway in a duo named “The Graduates,” they produced and released their first EP on Myspace in 2008. From there, Scott became part of another producing duo, moved to New York, then to LA, where he met T.I., who jumpstarted his career.
